Forest Getaway

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the one thing I've longed for above all else is the ability to escape to the wilderness. Whether it's being cooped up inside my apartment or missing the nature trails back home in Georgia, I decided to use my skills to make my own little paradise. At the Forest Getaway, you're automatically great at skipping rocks and playing guitar, and you can wander around the woods and listen to the wildlife both during the day and at night.
For this project, I:

Scripted interactable rocks to skip on a pond that splash with every bounce

Scripted an interactable guitar that plays a soothing song with you hold the left mouse button down on it

Created two unique soundscapes, one for the day and one for the night, that players can swap between using keyboard inputs

Used Unity Terrain to create realistic mountains and trees scattered around the forest
